HUDSON, NH -- Richard "Dick" E. Benoit, 86, of Hudson, NH, succumbed to cancer at his home surrounded by his family on August, 3, 2014. He was born in Keene, NH to the late Alfred and Rena Benoit.
Richard is survived by his wife Dale (Smith) Benoit; nine sons, Dana (Marylou) Benoit of Hudson, NH, Brian (late Denise) Benoit of Dracut, MA, Dwayne Benoit of Lowell, MA, Luke (Andrea) Benoit of Exeter, NH, Keith Wells of Lowell, MA, James (Vicki) Rosko of Holbrook, MA, Jacob Rosko of Dracut, MA, Jason (Casey) Rosko of Salem, NH, Joseph Rosko of Pelham, NH; two brothers, Robert and Bruce Benoit; four sisters, Beverly Soucy, Shirley Benoit, Brenda Cedarberg and Sandy Benoit; also many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Richard was also predeceased by two daughters, Bonnie Benoit of CA and Elizabeth Rosko of Nashua, NH; a sister, Joyce "Tootsie" Lawrence and a brother, Paul Benoit.
BENOIT -- There are no calling hours, after cremation, a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 12 Main St., Pelham, NH on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 10 a.m.

Dale, may you find some comfort, however small, in knowing that so many others cared for you and Dick and all the kids. And that those of us who care and love you are sending prayers your way. I'm sorry I couldn't make the trip down for the service, but I'm glad I DID get down to see him the week before.
I know he has begun a new journey, one filled with wonder, happiness and love. And without pain ! Cancer is a hideous disease that leaves us all wondering 'Why?' ... I guess we'll have those answers someday, but for now we just have to hold tight to faith.
I pray that God gives all of you the strength and the courage to get through this terrible time.
