Junette Ream Grand Ledge Junette "Janet" Ream, 93, born June 25, 1921 in Detroit, MI, passed away March 12, 2015 in Delta Twp., Eaton Co., MI.  Janet was a member of Grand Ledge First United Methodist Church; a former Girl Scout leader and enjoyed traveling. Survivors include her son, Richard (Karan) Ream of Eaton Rapids, daughter Betty (Thomas) Stanger of White, GA; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Alden; mother and step-father, Freda Mae and Barney Barnhart; brother, Cecil Carey; twin-sister, June Sanborn, and sister Betty Knowles. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 16, 2015 - 1:00 p.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.  Interment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery, Oneida Twp., Eaton Co.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. or Great Lakes Caring Hospice.  Online condolences may be shared at www.petersandmurrayfuneralhome.com .

Reynolds, Charlotte  
Charlotte Fern Reynolds Lansing Charlotte Fern Reynolds, Lansing, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2015 at the Sparrow Hospice House of Mid-Michigan with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 8, 1941 in Crites, West Virginia to Evan and Ada Colegrove.  She graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1960. She enjoyed worshiping the Lord, having bible studies and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved and adored. On May 6, 1967, she married Russell "Jerry" Reynolds and they had four children, who survive her:   R.J. Reynolds (LuAnn), Jr., Suzy (Troy) Westmoreland, Julie Reynolds, Josh (Katrina) Reynolds; 13 grandchildren, Jessie, Caleb, Trent, Taylor, Hunter Marquis, Kyler, Evan, Russell III, Anthony, Luke, Elaijah, Jozlyn and baby on the way; brother Russell Colegrove and sister Sue Royston; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evan and Ada; the father of her children, Jerry Reynolds; sister, Jerrie Smith; sister-in-law, Carolyn Colegrove; and niece Debra Bolton.  A Homegoing Celebration is scheduled on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Abundant Grace Faith Church, located at 5750 S. Cedar Street in Lansing with visitation one hour prior.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church or the Sparrow Hospice House. Ridgway, Charles  
Charles David "Dave" Ridgway Lansing, Michigan Dave was a gentle, kind and sweet man who loved his family, friends, and all things outdoors, especially gardening. He died peacefully at The Willows of East Lansing Retirement Home on March 24, 2015. Dave was born in Washington, D.C. to Robert H. and Bernice R. Ridgway on December 12, 1930. He spent his childhood years in Scarsdale, N.Y. and graduated from Scarsdale High School in 1948. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1953 with a degree in Forestry. He then proudly served in the U.S. Navy for two years and attended the Naval Aviation School in Pensacola, Florida. After the service he was with the U.S. Forestry Service in Tennessee for two years. That was followed by joining the Kurtz Bros. Printing and School Supplies Company in Clearfield, PA where he remained for 37 years, retiring as Vice President of Operations in 1995. He and wife, Ruth, moved to Lansing where they lived until his death. His interest in the outdoors was exhibited by his life-long love for fly fishing, bird watching, hunting, flowers, gardening and golf. Dave was an Eagle Scout, a 50-year member of the Spruce Creek Rod and Gun Club (Clearfield, PA), member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, President of the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce, a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Clearfield BPOE (Elks Club) for over 60 years, member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clearfield, Country Club of Lansing, and supporter of numerous conservation groups. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Ruth Nolen Ridgway; children: Kurt (Tami) Ridgway, Pauline (Keith) Hagelin, Patrice (Dennis) Gallagher, and stepchild Ann McClintock; grandchildren: Kiely (Keith) Ostfeld, Collin Ridgway, Nolan Ridgway, Justin Hagelin, Casey Hagelin, Owen Gallagher, Hayden Gallagher, Chapin Pulju, Ian Pulju, Alissa Sedbrook, Nicholas Sedbrook and Franklin Tello; four great-grandchildren: Khloe Ostfeld, Kane Ostfeld, Chapin Pulju, Jr., Zeiah Pulju; and special friends: James P. and Audrey Moore. Dave was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert H. Ridgway, Jr.; sister, Helen R. Kelly; and first wife, Jean Kurtz Ridgway. A service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Clearfield, PA at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, March 31, at 1:30 p.m. at The Peoples Church of East Lansing, MI. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield, PA. In lieu of flowers those who wish may contribute in Dave's memory to the Joseph and Elizabeth Shaw Public Library, One S. Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 or the Capital Area District Library, 401 S. Capitol Avenue, Lansing, MI 48933. The family is being served by Estes-Leadley Funeral Homes, Greater Lansing Chapel. Rockafellow, James  
James Arthur Rockafellow Today James Arthur and Helena Maxine Rockafellow celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary together, in heaven. Helena passed on December 7, 2014 and James passed away on March 17, 2015. James was born on November 30, 1920 in Alma, MI to Frank and Violet Rockafellow. They also greeted him at heaven's gate, along with the siblings that had gone before him: Juanita, Donald and infant sister Letta Mae. His surviving siblings are: Judith, Joyce, Beverly, Robert, and Keith. James proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps. He enlisted on August 26, 1942, Flint, MI. Studied aviation at Western Michigan College, Kalamazoo, MI as a reservist. Entered active duty on September 15, 1943, at Rockford, IL. Arriving in England on July 12, 1944, he was assigned to the 305th Bomb Group, 365th Bomb squadron. They were shot down on their 10th mission on September 11, 1944, captured by the Germans on September 12, 1944. As a prisoner of war, he was taken to Stalag Luft IV for 7 months, walked across Germany to another camp. Liberated by the British April 16, 1945; went to Camp Lucky Strike then to a hospital in Belgium for an infected leg. James returned to the United States for rest and rehabilitation in Miami, Florida. Discharged from SAD, AAFPDC, San Antonio, TX October 30, 1945. James attended Michigan State College, East Lansing, MI, studied Chemical Engineering. He married Helena Maxine on March 23, 1947; they were blessed to celebrate 67 years and 8 months of marriage on Earth. James worked at Planet Corporation in Lansing, MI for 35 years, retiring in 1983. James and Helena were active, loyal members of Christ Lutheran Church in Lansing, MI. It was their wish to stay in their home until the end, and that was accomplished with the help of Arcadia Home Health Care, Visiting Physicians Association, and Great Lakes Hospice. At their humble request, there will be no services. The family is being served by the Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing MI. To honor James and Helena's memory, please give to others as selflessly as they always gave to those they loved.
