Reynolds, Kristen - Grand Ledge  
Kristen Marie Reynolds Grand Ledge Kristen Marie Reynolds of Grand Ledge passed away May 16, 2016. She was born March 3, 1966 in Traverse City to Donald E. and Karen G. (Nelson) Reynolds.  Kris graduated from Grand Ledge High School Class of 1984, received an Associate's Degree from LCC and an MRI Degree from MSU and worked as a Technician at Alliance Imaging; she previously worked for Sparrow Hospital.  She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family. One of Kris' passions was pet rescue; she had a tremendous love and compassion for dogs that needed a great home and found great joy and purpose in providing a safe place. Kris is survived by her mother, Karen G.; siblings, Peter K. (Shauna), David, Pamela (Brad Burkle) Reynolds; aunt, Mary (Victor) Burm; uncle, Michael Reynolds; niece, Brittany Reynolds; nephew, Cody Galbraith and several cousins. A funeral service was held Friday, May 20, 2016, 11am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lansing with The Reverend Roger K. Straub, officiating. Interment followed at Delta Center Cemetery.  Visitation was Thursday from 6-8pm at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Richards, Jack - Venice  
Jack Norman Richards Jack Norman Richards loving husband, proud father and devoted golfer has joined God's heavenly foursome on May 6th, 2016.  He is survived by his wife, Maureen, four children, Randy, Rhonda (David) Zimmerman, Romi (Peter) McCarty, Rae Lea (Rodney) Moore, step child Wendy (Franco) Pafundo, 13 grandchildren and 2 great grand children. His life was driven by joy and determination. Beginning with his love of basketball: winning the first Illinois high school championship to come from tiny Taylorville Illinois, followed by a full basketball scholarship to Beloit College. In the late 1940's, Jack met and married fashion model, Carolyn St. Clair, who preceded him in death.  He was the Mutual Manager of Arlington Park Race Track and Washington Park in Chicago, after which he honed his skills as a salesman. Jack was a successful, well-respected Maritz Account Executive. Jack was a long time member of Walnut Hills and Lansing Country Clubs.  After relocating to Venice Florida, he joined Friendly's men's club, Shamrocks (fmr president), Plantation Country Club and the Plantation Foundation. In addition to golf, he loved crossword puzzles, horse racing, reading, movies and theater. His sharp wit could make you laugh, think, or cower with equal strength.  Jack was handsome, charming, opinionated, funny, and will forever remain in our hearts. A private celebration of Jack's life will occur in the fall.

Ricks, Iva - DeWitt  
Iva Mae Ricks Bath Iva Mae Ricks, nee Robbins, of Bath died Saturday, April 16th at the age of 98.  Iva was born and raised in Dearborn and moved to the Lansing area when she married Kenneth L. Ricks in 1941.  They purchased a farm in Bath shortly after and raised 3 children, Morgan horses, and any number of pets over her 75 years on the farm.  The farm became a playground and favorite visiting spot for family and friends. She graduated from Michigan State when her children were young and taught for two years but found family, farm and community time more rewarding.  Her real passion was architecture, especially home design and she designed her daughter's home at the age of 93. Iva was an avid reader, knitter, bridge player and fan of public radio and old movies.  She and Ken loved traveling with their Airstream friends and went on many caravans around the U.S and other countries. She instilled the love of learning and international travel to her children and grandchildren. She was the family matriarch and considered "Grandma" to a large extended family including friends from here and various countries.  She loved and was loved by family, friends and community and will be sorely missed. Iva is survived by Marilyn (Jonathan) Washington, Gary (Marti) Ricks, Michael Ricks (James Roberts), 5 Grandchildren and spouses, and 9 great grandchildren.  She was preceded by her husband of 60+ years, sister and brother. A memorial service will be held on May 29,2016 at 3:00 pm at the Bath United Methodist Church 13777 Main St. Bath, MI 48808.  For those desiring, memorial contributions in Iva's name can be made to Lake Michigan Camp & Retreat, North Family Camp, 5807 North Ridge Rd. Pentwater, MI 49449. This was a special place Iva enjoyed many years.   Contributions may also be made to the Bath United Methodist Church or the Bath Senior Center.  The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel.  Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.grdewitt.com .

Roetman, John - East Lansing  
John Roetman John Roetman, born October 31, 1923 passed on to be with the Lord May 17, 2016 at the age of 92.  He was the son of John Roetman and Minnie Joan Maghielse.  He grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and attended Union High School.  During WWII John served in the US Army in a Military Police unit from 1943 to 1946 when he was honorably discharged.  He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in Guidance & Counseling.  He met and married the love of his life Phyllis Irene Manchester in 1955.  John and Phyllis lived in Okemos, MI until recently when they relocated to Friendswood, Texas.  They were happily married 58 years until she passed in 2014.  John worked in MSU Administration for over 30 years, advancing to the position of Manager University Apartments.  John was active in politics and was elected to the offices of Township Trustee and Supervisor, Meridian Township.  Following his retirement John joined the MSU Retirees Association and served as VP and President.  John was an avid MSU Spartans fan and world traveler.  He touched the lives of many people and was well-respected by his community. He is survived by his two daughters and their families:  Nancy and Rudolph Munoz of League City, Texas, grandchildren Amy and Rudy Munoz; and Linda Roetman and James Perdue of Dandridge Tennessee. Services have been held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1500 E. Medical Center Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48109. On line condolences may be made at www.greastlansing.com
