Saba, Charles A. - Lansing  
Charles A. Saba Lansing Born July 20, 1924 in Lebanon, to the late Abdallah and Zakia (Khuri) Badaoui, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014, in Lansing at age 90. Charles retired from Oldsmobile, enjoyed nature and spending time with his family. Surviving is his wife Angie of nearly 60 years, 7 children: Madeleine (Mark) Andrew, Anthony (Katie) Saba, Maggie (Michael) Parwey, Marlene (Mark) Trudell, Mona Saba, Caroline (Andrew) Britt and Kathy Saba, 12 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 2 sisters: Helen Shoufanui and Nadia (Adel) Badawi, a brother Michelle (Marie) Badaoui and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Rite of committal will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, 2-4 and6-8p.m. at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00p.m. Visitation continues Monday at the church at 9:30a.m. Condolences can be made at www.palmerbush.com .

Sawdon, Cynthia  
Cynthia L. Sawdon Williamston Cindy passed away on December 4, 2014 at the age of 53. Cynthia Lynn Spiegel was born in St. Johns, MI on August 25, 1961, the daughter of Kenneth and Kathleen (Spaulding) Spiegel. She married Craig Sawdon on February 28, 1987. Her life was centered around her faith in Jesus. Her children were her pride and joy. She loved being a full time Mom, reading books to her kids and working in the children's ministry at church. She enjoyed family vacations traveling to 47 states, hiking and exploring National Parks. Family reunions, gardening and collecting antique jars were also important to her. Cindy was preceded in death by her mother Kathleen and brother David Spiegel. Cindy is survived by her husband Craig, children Curtis, Christy and Cassidy; father Kenneth; and sisters Kelly Ann Searles and Linda Spiegel. Services were held December 9, 2014. Schafer, Larry Leo  
Larry Leo Schafer June 10, 1942 - December 21, 2014 After three days of laughter, reminiscing, and saying goodbye Larry Leo Schafer 72 passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Walt and Lillian Schafer. Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years Karen, his brother Doug (LaVonne) Schafer, his daughter Kelly (Kevin) Chopp, son Troy, and his grandchildren, Alex and Justin Chopp, Jordan and Alyson Schafer, Jesse Torres, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Larry retired from General Motors after 37 years and was a dedicated member of the UAW Chapter 652. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus and received the Fourth Degree Knight honorary title. In his retirement, Larry loved to travel, spend time at his cottage on Sand Lake, and cheer for his grandchildren at their numerous sporting and school events. Larry was also a passionate fan of NASCAR, the Detroit Tigers, and MSU athletics. In keeping with Larry's wishes his body was donated to the Michigan State University Willed Body Program in support of medical research. At his request there will be no funeral service. However, memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org .

Mildred N. Schneider Webberville Age 98, died Tues Dec 16, 2014 at Home Away From Home in Fowlerville. She was born Jan 13, 1916 in Locke Twp. to Elmer and Addie Lozier and was a 1934 graduate of Perry High School. Mildred was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and owned a beauty shop in Webberville. She was an avid gardener and loved to play cards. Surviving are her daughter: Sharon Mintzer, son-in-law: Paul Griffes, 4 grandchildren: Kerrek (Kim) Griffes, Kurt Griffes, Kimberle (Anthony) DeAnda and Katie Mintzer, 4 great-grandchildren: Ashlee, Evan, Vance Griffes and Sophia DeAnda. She was preceded in death by her husband: William, daughter: Suzanne Griffes, 1 brother and 2 sisters.. Services 11:00 a.m. Monday, Dec.22 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Diane Greble officiating. Visitation 2-5p.m. Sunday at Niblack Funeral Home. Interment in Rowley Cemetery. Sharp, Bruce  
Bruce E. Sharp Delta Township Bruce E. Sharp, 87, was born May 4, 1927 in Lansing, MI, passed away December 14, 2014 in Charlotte, MI.  Bruce was a retired employee of Meijer Co. as a carpenter; former employee of Capital City Lumber and also a past dairy farmer for what once was Sharp Dairy Farm, where currently the Lansing Mall is located in Delta Township.  He was a member of the Delta Mills United Methodist Church; former member of the Indian Guides through the YMCA and past Boy Scout Leader.  Bruce was also the founder of Whirl-A-Ways Square Dance Club; organized and operated the Funtastic Square Dance Club; a square dance caller; an avid, talented woodworker and carpenter. Survivors include his sons, Douglas (Vivian) Sharp of Grand Ledge and Steven (Laura) Sharp of Sunfield, daughter Carol (Richard) Geer of Okemos; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Patricia Sharp of Grand Ledge, many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife, Donna in 2010 and brother, William. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 - 11:00 a.m. at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with interment to follow at Delta Center Cemetery, Delta Twp., Eaton Co.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Delta Mills U.M.C. or Eaton Community Palliative Care in memory of Bruce Sharp.  Online condolences may be shared at www.petersandmurrayfuneralhome.com .
