Charles Harag, 82, of Charlotte passed away on March 21, 2014. He was born on July 13, 1931 in Charlotte Michigan, the son of John and Anna Harag. He graduated Charlotte High School in 1949. Served in the United States Air Force
in Wiesbaden, Germany where he met and married Jean. They returned home in 1954 and five years later purchased their family farm where they raised five children.
Charlie worked for Aluminum Extrusions then Owens Illinois in numerous capacities retiring from OI as Comptroller in 1992.
Serving his community was very important to Charlie. He was a part of many service organizations. He was proud to be one of the Veteran's responsible for placing the Medal of Honor Monument at the Eaton County Courthouse.
Charlie took pride in participating in the agricultural community. Any spare time that came his way was spent enjoying family and friends.
Charles is survived by his wife, Jean. 5 children - Charlie (Danna), Brian (LouAnn), Laura (Nick) Custance, Matthew, Marc (Jodi). 1 sister - Rosemary Watkins. Grandchildren - John (Dany), Karen, Brian, Mackenzi and Cole.
Visitation will be held 3-5 PM & 7-9 PM Monday with a Rosary Service at 7PM at Pray Funeral Home, Inc., Charlotte, Michigan.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. David Rosenberg, celebrant. Interment will follow at Gresham Cemetery.
