Charles J. Lonier

Charles J. Lonier Lansing Charles J. Lonier, 74, loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2013. He was born April 9, 1939 in Lansing, MI, son of Lewis and Julia (Doherr) Lonier. Charles was retired from General Motors after 34 years of service and a lifelong area farmer. He was a member of Michigan Farm Bureau, St. Therese Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus. Charles loved people, talking and telling jokes. He was an avid collector of International tractors. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Rosella, daughter Wanda (Eric) Rademacher and twin granddaughters, Amber and Ashleigh; also two brothers Harold (Linda) and Thomas Robert, three sisters: Catherine (Bob) Fedewa, Theresa (Bill) Hankins, and Margaret (Richard) Toomey. He was predeceased by his parents, infant son Leon and grandson Corey. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 - 11:00 a.m. at the St. Therese Church, 102 W. Randolph, Lansing, MI 48906 with Fr. John Fain as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive family and friends at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home in Grand Ledge Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with a Rosary at 3 p.m. and Scripture service at 7 p.m.; also visitation at the church from 10 - 11:000 a.m..
