Evelyn Lenora Buckley

Evelyn Lenora Buckley Evelyn Buckley was born February 8, 1955 (3:29 am) at Hayes Green Beach hospital in Charlotte, Michigan to Edgar and Marquetta Buckley. Evelyn graduated from Charlotte High School in 1973 and attended University of Michigan and MSU for a couple years. Her trade for thirty years was Administrative assistant for Watkins distributor, Wally Elias (uncle). Evelyn was a world traveler utilizing her Archeology college major as a guide in her travels. Always health conscious, she enjoyed swimming and walking. Her Labor Day destination for many years was the annual Mackinaw Bridgewalk. Her favorite Mackinaw City hotel was the Rivera with awesome views of the bridge. A wonderful baker and cook, Evelyn would create sumptuous rolls, stuffing, and pies. Many family birthdays she would bake cookies as a great handmade gift. Her immediate family includes; Marquetta Buckley (mother), Edgar Buckley (brother), Susan Buckley (sister-in-law), Susie Buckley, Ann Michels (sister), Mason Place (nephew), and Haley Place (niece). Evelyn entered Eaton County Palliative Care on November 30, 2012, only four months after her father (Edgar) passed away. After a long battle with cancer, Evelyn passed away on 12/12/12 at 4:48 a.m. She was loved and will be missed by family and friends.
