Gene R. Estep

Gene R. Estep Arlington, TX Gene R. Estep "Grampy" 88, went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2013 with his family by his side. He was born May 19, 1924 in Independence, KS. Gene served over 3 years as a veteran of WWII in the United States Navy. He graduated from the University of Tulsa then worked for American Airlines for 20 years. He then worked for LTV as a computer analyst until his retirement. He was a past Exalted Ruler for the Tulsa, OK Elks Lodge, and the Arlington Elks Lodge 2114. He was proud of the organization and his involvement as a lifelong member of the Elks. Gene will be truly missed by his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be especially remembered for his humor, loving nature, and kindness. He was predeceased by his wife of 28 years Anna M. Estep, son Oren R. Estep, grandsons Mike C. King and Bryan F.King. Survivors: Those left to remember him are his children and their spouses, and grandchildren, Debbie Estep, Arlington, Larry Estep (Jeanne), Norfolk, VA, Gary King (MaryEllen), Arlington, Kathy Savage(Jim), Loveland, OH; Grampy was so proud and blessed with nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren who adored him as well. A Memorial service took place Monday, May 13, 2013 at Arlington Funeral Home Chapel, Arlington, TX. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 16th - 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 4444W. Grand River, Lansing, MI 48906.
