Jean Ball

Jean Ball Lansing Born May 6, 1926 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Francis and Georginia (Hardy) Huot, journeyed into her next life on April 8, 2011, with her children at her side. Jean worked for the State of Michigan as well as drove bus for Waverly Schools and dabbled in real estate. She enjoyed bargain hunting, refinishing antique furniture, traveling, and doting on her special furry friend, "Charlie", just as she did her family. Her favorite place to be was at the cottage, where she enjoyed and photographed many beautiful sunsets along with feeding the wildlife. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond of 55 years, her brother Francis Huot, Jr., her sister Shirley Dunn, and several nephews. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary (Deborah) Ball, Diane Ball; grandchildren Eric Ball, Michelle (Zachary)Altefogt, Janean and Kyle Strickland; sisters Beverly (Al) Slaght and Dorothy (Mark) Stevens, brother Bruce Huot, and several neices and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, 12:00 noon, at Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family would like to extend its gratitude for the wonderful care Jean received from Countryside of Jackson during her last months.
