Larry Norman Carlson

Larry Norman Carlson Haslett Larry Norman Carlson, 75, born January 19, 1937 in Jackson, Michigan, to Fritz and Nettie (Karr) Carlson, and passed away on September 12, 2013. Larry had five older brothers and one big sister. He served in the U.S. Army, was an employee at General Motors for 43 years, one of the last to work at Fisher Body. Larry was our "fix-it man", also a musician and scholar of history. Larry is survived by his beautiful wife Jeanne, and his children, Robert and Sue, Glen, Steve, Cyndi and Dennis, Cathy and Todd, and Jody. Grandchildren, Brandon, Rebecca and Tim, Marcus, Roxanne and Brad, Mitchell, Kylie and Troy and his great-grandchildren, Timmie, Elynn and Robbie will miss their "Papa" very much. He also leaves behind many close siblings, nieces and nephews, and friends, and his beloved Boxer dog, Miss Maggee. A viewing will be held at 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, 214 N Main, Perry, MI. Funeral services will be Monday September 16, 2013 at 1:00 PM, followed by a short memorial service at the Oak Plains Cemetary in Shaftsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Stonleigh Residence, where Larry received kindness and love during his last days.
