Laurence James "Larry" Albert

Laurence "Larry" James Albert Lansing Born November 20, 1921, son of Gilbert Albert and Juanita (Saiter) Smith of Galion, Ohio, passed away of Alzheimers at Clare Bridge of Delta on January 16, 2012 at the age of 90. Larry served in the U. S. Army during WWII in Italy, Austria and Germany as a First Scout and Rifleman. He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Karen Ann and Carolyn Jane; 2 brothers, William and Carl. Surviving is his wife of 65 years Donna and four children, Lynda (Herman) Paulk of San Bernardino, CA., Allen (Janet) Albert of Charlotte, Ronald (Jill) Albert of DeWitt, and Roger Albert of East Lansing; 6 grandchildren, Garrett (Pamela) Albert, Branden (Kim) Albert, Kamara (Nathan) Oliver, Jody, Kevin and Carole (Walter) Frarey; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Larry worked in heating and refrigeration at Hager Fox Inc., and as a journeyman in refrigeration at General Motors retiring after 23 years. During his retirement years he volunteered at the Scheffel Toy Shop making toys for disadvantaged children. He and Donna enjoyed many years traveling, square dancing, round dancing and clogging. A visitation at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Funeral Family Home Home, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw will be Friday, January 20, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. There will be no funeral, a commital service will be Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery in Fowlerville at 11:00 am. Contributions to the may be made in lieu of flowers. Condolences at
