Marshall Auls Lansing Age 90, was born on March 19, 1922 in Greenwood, SC to Bluford and Willie Abram Auls and passed away peacefully, Monday, June 11, 2012. Marshall moved to Lansing in 1945 and was a loyal and dedicated employee of Christman Construction Company, for over 40 years. Marshall was legendary for his work ethic and ability to solve problems. He was a long-time member of Laborers Union, Local 499. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, for many years. He loved to fish and travel. He was preceded in death by: his loving wife, of nearly 50 years, Bessie Lee Harden Auls; sisters, Carrie (Buster) Auls Thompson of Springfield Gardens, NY, Sarah (Harman) Auls Henry of Greenwood, SC, Janie Bertha Johnson of Harlem, NY; brother, John Henry Auls of Brooklyn, NY; and a special niece, Willie Francis Daniels of Springfield Gardens, NY. Survivors include: his daughter, Marsha Regina Auls of Grand Rapids, MI; step-son, Buck Auls of Greenwood, SC; sisters, Ella Auls Griffin of Greenwood, Mabel Auls Davis of Springfield Gardens, and Mary Alice Law of San Diego, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Friends may visit Mr. Auls Sunday, June 17 from 1 - 5 pm at Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 18, 11 am at Friendship Baptist Church, 2912 Pleasant Grove Road, Lansing. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. The family would like to thank the staff of Tendercare West for their excellent care.
