Mary Louise Sigmon

Mary Louise Sigmon DeWitt Formerly of Lake, MI Mary L. Sigmon died February 21, 2014 in Lansing, MI at age 84. Born July 17, 1929, she was the daughter of Grover and Ethel (Arnold) Chapman. Mary loved her family; her kids and grandkids were everything to her. She had many friends as well virtually everywhere she went, and was an adopted grandma to many; she will be especially missed by dear friends like Dave and Cheryl, Bernie and Gloria, Sue and Earl, and Gerry Silvester. In her spare time Mary loved flowers, crocheting, enjoyed cooking, and loved to play euchre. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, James; daughter, Diana (Mueller); son-in-law, Paul Pintarich; siblings, James Chapman, Haskel Chapman, Bill Chapman & Grover Chapman Jr. Surviving are her children, James Ronald (Liz) Sigmon, Larry Gene (Marlene) Sigmon, and Debbie Pintarich, as well as 12 grandchildren: Tamara (Ted) Samra, Chad (Lindsay) Sigmon, Maggie (Sam) Boumis, AJ (Sarah) Sigmon, Tyler Sigmon, Katie (Jeff) Kowalsky, Tony (Amy) Sigmon, Kelly Pintarich, Stephanie (Scott) Lazoraff, Kristina (Jared) Brown, Jimmy (Emily) Mueller, and Johnny Mueller, and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00a.m., Wednesday, February 26, at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge Street in DeWitt. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00p.m., Tuesday, February 25, and one hour prior to mass on Wednesday at the church. There will be a Scripture Service at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, also at church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contribution to Kristine Brown for Autism in memory of Mary.
