Michael James Wright Grand Ledge Michael James Wright, passed away unexpected October 21, 2013 in Bath Township, Clinton County, Michigan as a result of a hunting accident. He was born February 9, 1953 in Greenville, Michigan to the late Norman and Dixie (Webb) Wright. Mike was a retired State of Michigan Department of Corrections officer. He was very adventurous and loved the outdoors. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and even sky diving. He worked hard and was very proud of his vegetable garden. Mike looked forward to sharing his bounty with neighbors and close friends. He is survived by his companion of twenty years, Martha Waldrop; step-mother, Helen Wright; brother, Dennis (Monica) Wright; half-sister, Sara Webber; niece Jenny Wright; great nephew, Anthony Wright and two nephews and one niece. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 1-3:00p.m. at the Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Michigan United Conservation Club (MUCC), Youth Outreach Programs, 2101 Wood Street, P.O. Box 30235, Lansing, Michigan 48909. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing your soul mate, Michael. But from what has been shared with me, I know how much he was loved and will be missed.

I was very sad to hear of Mike's passing. He died do what he loved. I always enjoyed Mike's great humor. My days spent working with him I'll never forget. My prayers and sympathy to Martha and family.
