Nancy A. Barrett

Nancy A. Barrett St. Johns Nancy A. Barrett, 76 went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2013. Nancy was born on July 20, 1937 in St. Johns the daughter of Ray and Nell (Gallagher) Osborn. She graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in 1955 and on June 3, 1961 she married Keith A. Barrett in St. Johns. Nancy had worked with her father at the Gamble Store for several years and at the Silk Petal flower shop. She was a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, enjoyed knitting, puzzles, playing cards, doing volunteer work at the St. Vincent De Paul Store, and Clinton Memorial Hospital, working elections and especially spending time at the cottage at Lake City and being with her family. In 1994 Nancy donated one of her kidneys to her son, Kevin. Nancy is survived by her husband Keith. Children, Brian (Karen) Barrett of Haslett, MI, Kevin (Debra) Barrett of Berrien Center, MI, Susan (John) Trudeau of Mt. Pleasant, MI, and Craig (Karyn) Barrett of Eaton Rapids, MI. Grandchildren, Allison, Kyle, Jami and Nikolas Barrett; Marcie, Brandon, Brittnie, and Monica Barrett; Alexis and Eddie Trudeau and Ethan and Kaleigh Barrett. Several nieces and nephews. Brothers, Richard Osborn of MN and Fr. Douglas Osborn of DeWitt, MI. She was preceded in death by her sister Marcia Puhlman, sister-in-law Karol Richards, her parents Ray and Nell Osborn and parents-in-law, Jay and Grace Barrett. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Douglas Osborn officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, 3 to 7 P.M. and on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, 4-8 P.M. A Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday evening at 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to St. Vincent De Paul or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
