Noel Douglas Culbert


On April 25th Noel Douglas Culbert slipped away to be with his Lord God. He was born the 16th of October 1946, to William and Frances Culbert in Lansing, MI. He grew up in Livonia.

After graduating from high school, he attended Michigan Technological University and received his degree in 1964. He joined the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War.

After his discharge, he attended law school at

The University of Detroit School of Law. He later joined the military once more and served his country until his retirement in 2003.

He will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him. His love of God, family, and country was reflected by how he lived his life. He is survived by his wife, Diana (Latting); son, Steven Culbert; daughter in-law, Kim Culbert; and also by his four wonderful grandchildren: Jakob, Matthew, Joshua and Kaitlyn Culbert; and his sister, Celina Culbert.

His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St. in DeWitt.  Family will receive friends at church from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the , 1755 Abbey Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823, in memory of Noel.
