Richard Elwood "Tex" Ritter

Richard Elwood "Tex" Ritter Delta Township Went to his heavenly home on October 4, 2012 at the age of 77. Born April 23, 1935 in Lansing, MI. Tex worked for G.M. Plant 3 for 47 years as an electrician. He was in the National Guard for 35 years. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and all around good guy! Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Dorothy Ritter; daughters, Gay (Jerry) Lietzke of Florida, and Garnett (George) Kepler of Potterville; granddaughter, Rachel (David) Lietzke-Payne; great-grandson, Ryder Payne; sisters-in-law, Wanda and Velva Ritter; and many other family members and friends. Tex was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Marion (Green) Ritter, and brothers, Herbert and Lawrence Ritter. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, 3827 Delta River Dr. Lansing with Rev. Lori Sykes officiating. Viewing will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at church. Contributions may be made to the or the Alzheimer Foundation in memory of Tex.
