Robert E. Brush

Age 89, died March 28, 2014.  He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps and received a Bronze Battle Star on Okinawa.  He worked in transportation for nearly 40 years, with both the railroad and the motor carrier industry.  He was a member of the Delta Nu Alpha fraternity and the Transportation Club of Lansing.  He was also a member of the VFW post 701 and the American Legion Post 269. 

He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Lois Ann (Streeter) Brush in 2013.  He is survived by his three daughters, Patricia Ann (Joseph) Snow, Rebecca Lou Wilcox, Teresa Kae (Dennis) Mitchell; four grandchildren, Jon Gregor (Michelle) Wilcox, Scott Robert (Kim) Wilcox, James Robert Brush Mitchell, and his favorite granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Mitchell (James Cupp). Also surviving are 4 great grandchildren, Anderson and Ava Wilcox, and Brody and Mia Wilcox.  Per his wishes, his last weeks were spent at home with his family and beloved dog, Max. 

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 2-5 pm at the American Legion post #269 hall located at 1485 Haslett Rd. Haslett, MI.  Donations in Bob's honor may be made to the Veterinary Animal Hospice Program at MSU Veterinary Medical Center, 736 Wilson Rd. East Lansing, MI 48824-1314 c/o Page Yaxley, DVM.
