Robert E. Goodman, 79, born September 16, 1934 in Essexville, MI, passed away April 11, 2013 in Lansing, MI.  Robert retired as Vice President and General Manager of CARQUEST and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He was very active with the Grand Ledge Baseball program, announcing and coaching.  He enjoyed fishing, working with the Ole News Boys, and especially spending time with family at his cottage in East Tawas.

Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce, sons Michael (Dianne) and Christopher (Angela); grandchildren: Samuel and Lindsay Goodman, Matthew Grove, Nathan, Kahlei and Cameron Ethridge.  He was predeceased by his parents, Earl and G. Marie (Pearson) Goodman, brother Thomas Goodman, sister Joyce Champlain and in-laws, Lloyd and Elizabeth Kretzschmer.

A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014 - 4:00 p.m. at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with Rev. Molly Turner officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Grand Ledge Bullpen Club.  Online condolences may be shared at www.petersandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
