Roger Lee Aungst

Roger Lee Aungst Grand Ledge Roger Lee Aungst, 68, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, passed away September 30, 2013. He was born May 15, 1945 in Lansing, MI, son of Bona and Elizabeth (Moes) Aungst. Roger retired after 35 years of service with General Motors, and was an employee of Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. He attended the Grand Ledge Baptist Church and was a very accomplished woodworker. Roger loved cars, working in his yard; enjoyed hunting, and had a deep love for his family. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Margo and their daughters Marcy L. (Aaron) Baker and Marnee L. (Tim) McClung, and grandchildren Raegan and Merritt Baker, Gerald and Tessa McClung; 3 brother-in-laws and 2 sister-in-laws; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Maynard. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 - 11:00 a.m. at the Grand Ledge Baptist Church, 1120 W. Willow, Grand Ledge, with Pastor John Lemke, Pastor Andrew Ford, and Brian McLaughlin officiating. The family will receive family and friends Sunday, October 6th from 4-8 p.m. at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, 301 E. Jefferson St., Grand Ledge.
