Ronald "Ronnie" Denesuk

Ronald "Ronnie" Denesuk Lansing Ron was a Beloved Son, Brother, Dad and Friend. Born February 23, 1959, Ron passed away Saturday July 20, 2013 at the age of 54 after a short battle with brain cancer. Ron graduated from Lansing Everett High School. In his early years Ron was a state record holder in the 50 yard free style (swimming) and a motocross racer. He loved the outdoors whether just watching the birds, fishing or going for the trophy rack. Ron was an excellent deer, bear and turkey hunter. His collection of deer mounts would be the envy of any hunter. Ron excelled as a softball player, playing for many years on Charlie's Hustlers, Reidy's Pizza and Twin Diamonds Express. Ron played softball and hunted in many states. Ron was part owner of Lansing Cottonwood Campground, director of Twin Diamonds Softball Park, president and owner of Advanced Housing Co. Inc. He was preceded in death by his dad, Peter Denesuk. Surviving are son Damon Denesuk (mom, Julie); mother Erika Denesuk; brother Mark Denesuk; sister Marcia Schmidt (Dennis); nephew Jacob Schmidt (Tanya); grand niece Kierra; niece Heather Schmidt; step children Zack Presson and Melanie (Presson) Campbell; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends Scotty and K.B. Ron, his big smile and beautiful blue eyes, will be greatly missed by his family and many, many, many friends. He touched in a special way anyone he met. A memorial will be held on August 17, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Lansing Cottonwood Campgrounds on the ball diamonds. If you have a Twin Diamonds shirt, hunting camo or Detroit Tiger gear you are encouraged to wear it to the memorial service.
