Ruth E. McCoy

Ruth E. McCoy Okemos Born January 24, 1926 in Lansing, Michigan to Frank and Katherine Marks, passed away January 20, 2013. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired after many years of service as a Food Coordinator at Okemos Schools. Ruth was also a long time member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Ruth is preceded in death by her sons, Daniel and Timothy McCoy and daughter-in-law, Darlene. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jesse; daughters, Pamela (Rick) Moore, Karen (Robert) Brannan and Mary Jane (David) Spear; sons, Patrick and Andrew (Katie) McCoy; 12 granchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and her brother, Michael (Sally) Marks. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 24, 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing. The Rite of Committal will be held at Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing. The family will receive friends at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
