Silvio De Luca

Silvio De Luca Lansing Age 88, our loving husband, father, and grandfather "nonno" was called home to the Lord on March 1, 2013. Born October 9, 1924, in Cosenza, Italy. Silvio worked in construction and farmed in Italy. After coming to America in 1969, he was a butcher at the South Washington Food Market with his brother-in-law and nephew, for many years. He loved his family, spending time with his grandkids, and gardening. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Anna (Litrenta) De Luca; son, Antonio "Tony" (Theresa) De Luca; 2 grandchildren, Silvio "Vincent" De Luca, and Anna Frances De Luca all of Lansing. 2 sisters, Erminia (Francesco) De Luca, and Teresa (Amedeo) Fortino; brother, Alfredo (Luisella) De Luca all in Italy; and many nieces and nephews in Lansing, Italy, and Canada. Silvio was preceded in death by his son, Vincent De Luca; parents Vincent and Luigina; 4 brothers, Giuseppe, Emilio, Rocco, and Oresto. Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. Sunday (Today) with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Service at the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Prayers will be 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, at St. Mary Cathedral, 219 Seymour, Lansing with Msgr. Bernard Reilly presiding.
