Virgil Rowe

Virgil Rowe Florida Formerly of Lansing, passed away with his family surrounding him on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at the age of 74. Surviving are his wife, Diane Rowe of Clearwater, FL; four children, Sheila (Dennis) Hollack, Sonya (Paul) Foster, V. Duane (Michelle) Rowe, and Patricia Rowe; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandsons; one sister, Marie (Bob) Smith; two brothers, Charles Rowe and Jesse (Barb) Rowe; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by the love of his life, Evelyn Rowe; two sisters, Vera Craft and Garnet Mizelle. Virgil worked 16 years for Diamond Reo Trucking Company of Lansing, owner of Rowe Adult Foster Care Home of Lansing and retired from the State of Michigan Department of Corrections. He was an avid musician and never knew a stranger. His life motto was to "Pay It Forward." Funeral services remembering Virgil's life will be held at the JC Adams Funeral Homes, Leslie Chapel on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Toby Teague officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM and Monday from 12 noon to 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Virgil's name can be made to any hospice or in accordance to his motto, "Pay It Forward."
