Wade Lathon Sr.

Wade Lathon, Sr. .departed his earthly life for the open arms of his Heavenly Father, Saturday, January 5, 2013. Wade was at home, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Wade was delivered into this world by his grandmother, Mary Richardson, who was a renowned midwife, in Kiblah Arkansas, April 10, 1927. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Fleet and Mary Richardson, father and mother, Joseph and Victoria Green, son, Wade Lathon Jr., great granddaughter, Paradise Janae McPherson and daughter Joann Lathon McPherson. He leaves to mourn his wife and best friend, Fannie Mae Lathon Lansing MI, his daughter, Brenda Lathon Morris Ft Myers FL, son, Dean Lathon/Abdullah Nuraldeen, brothers, Roosevelt (Reather) Nelson New Orleans, LA, Nelson (Daisybelle) Quinney Jr. Aliceville, AL and Joe Edward (Sadie) Green New Orleans, LA. Wade also leaves to mourn a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, along with an exceptional caregiver couple, Carolyn Jackson and Ronnie Morrell. Wade was a proud General Motors/Fisher Body employee for over 30 years, before retiring, and was also a member of Union Local 602. Wade will be remembered as a kind, thoughtful person, who was always willing to help others. He had the remarkable ability, to make you belly laugh, an awesome quick wit, and was a master joke teller. The family is extremely thankful, to Grace Hospice for their comforting care, of our loved one.
