Catharine "Cathy" Gardner

Catharine "Cathy" Gardner East Lansing Formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Died January 28, 2011 in Lansing, MI. Miss Gardner was a compassionate and loving soul dedicated to helping the homeless. She earned her Bachelor Degree at Temple University, was a freelance artist and an avid reader. Preceded in death by her mother, Catharine McMahon Gardner; sisters, Laura and Virginia; and brother, Frank. Surviving are her father, Frank; brothers, Peter (Barbara) and Thomas (Adrienne); sister, Elizabeth; nephews, Ian and Colin; and dear friends, Mary Jo, Josie, Jonathan and Maryann. A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, February 2, 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Road, East Lansing, MI with Rev. Mark Inglot officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East Lansing and Wednesday 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
