I am so sorry to learn this. I was a fan of his from the first class which I had with him. He and Nancy were great supporters of my store. Very sad loss.

Norman was my mentor in History, and a great friend when my wife Jo and I lived in East Lansing during the 1970s. Norman's fearless criticism of America's empire and political-economy inspired my life's work. In recent years, it was a great pleasure to reconnect and share again our passion for social justice. Jo and I will miss him.
