I am tremendously sorry for the loss of one of the good guys. From his days spent in DeWitt with smiles and laughter to what sounds like a giving and caring father and community member, he will leave very big shoes to fill.

I was so sad to hear of Johns passing. In school he was always so kind, gentle and quick to put a smile on everyone's face.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of those that loved him. I have no doubt that he was an incredible man and father as he was an incredible friend and classmate.

Its the night before the visitation, as i read all of your entries, i know the next two days will be the most difficult of my life. I ask for God's strenght and all of your prayers to help myself and all of our family members through this time. Everybody liked John, and now my brother is gone and we all miss him. God help us through this time.

I have known John for most of my life as a neighbor, classmate and friend. I always looked forward to when he would return to Michigan and we could get together.
He was always a great person to be around and will be missed.

I knew John for almost 20 years and greatly enjoyed having him and all of you as part of my life. John was a wonderful friend, co-worker, father, husband and all around person. I knew John from working with Erie. He was always a wonderful, compasionate person and I will always remember that about him. He was wonderful to me during some very difficult times. He was one of the best leaders and managers I have ever or ever will know. Many have said this about him over and over. He will certainly be missed but leaves us with wonderful memories of a very kind and caring individual.

John was a great friend, father, coworker, and person. He had a million dollar smile and was always willing to lend a hand at 6'7". Our family is blessed to share our time with him for the last 14 years. He will be deeply missed and remembered for all his contributions!
