Elaine, Mike and Matthew ~ May you find some peace knowing that many, many prayers continue for all of you. Our prayer is that you find some comfort knowing that Adam has gone to be with our Lord, and his wonderful memories will always be close to your hearts. I only knew him for a short time but I know he was a great friend and he will be missed by many. God bless.

My son, Chancellor called me tonight and reminded me of our "connection" to your family. Chance was on a traveling wrestling team with Adam and we also knew him and Mike through scouts. Chance and I are sincerely sorry for Adam's loss. Although it's been a very long time since we've seen the Nevells family, we know you were wonderful people and we are SO sorry Adam's life was cut too short!! Please know we are praying for those left behind, but we know Adam is in the comforting hands of God!! Best wishes to all of you!

Not only was he the apple of your eye,(and always)- he was an outstanding person in every way as evidenced by the loving words,thoughts and prayers sent by those who were blessed to know him. Dear Mike, Elaine, and Matt,
I am so sorry to hear about Adam. He was truly an awesome kid---one of the best, brightest, most dedicated, optimistic, and hard working kids I have ever met. Our entire staff at NCSA shares in your grief and will continue to pray. Know that Adam is in the tender care of our Heavenly Father and that someday you will be reunited with him. Dear Nevells Family,
A few days ago our Jenison Water Polo team recieved news of Adams death. The boys were deeply saddened at the loss of a fellow athlete and commrade. As parents, none of us can imagine such a loss. Know that we are all keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Tonight as Jenison competed in Zeeland in Water Polo, we stood and had a moment of silence in honor of Adam. Dear Nevells Family,
My name is Jenny Johnson and I am a senior at East Lansing High School. I never knew Adam, but my heart is bleeding for your family right now. Being his age and from the same community, I cried myself to sleep knowing that your beautiful son is gone. We are of the same graduating class, so I felt connected to him for some reason. I have heard that your son was an amazing man who loved life and above all his family. Adam touched so many people, more than you could ever know. I could never tell you in a message how deeply sorry I am that Adam is gone now. His memory will live on forever, and If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask any of us East Lansing students. I will be praying for you, and please, If anything, take comfort in knowing Jesus Christ has seated your beautiful boy perched high apon a cresent moon, and will forever be in pure serenity and love of God. He will be with you where ever you go, and will always love you.

I was fortunate to know Adam, I was his baseball coach in 7th grade. As a coach you alway want kids who want to play, have a good attitude and work hard. Adam had all this and more. We could be down by 10 runs and Adam would not give up. His smile and energy were contagious. He would do anything to help the team, completely unselfish. However what I most admired is what motivated him. It was not based on the expectations or desire of others but on his own heart and desire to do what is right. I cannot help as I write this to compliment his parents on a wonderfull child but also provide the greatest sympathy and compassion I can make. I will pray for Adam and his family the rest of my life.

I am deeply sorry for your loss, Adam had one of the most kind hearts that I have ever known. I Had the pleasure of coaching him for a few years through summer water polo and cant tell you how much I took pride in saying that I was his coach. If every athlete that I coached cared as much, and worked as hard as Adam did, I would be the happiest coach in the world. I will miss Adam and Will pray for him and your family. If you ever need anything you know how to reach me. Adam was a member of a great community of friends that stretches much further than Okemos, he will always be remember, respected, and missed.

We are all shocked and saddened by the loss of your beloved son and brother Adam. Introduced through Scouting our memories of Adam are of early morning gatherings before many exciting camping trips, watching fellow scouts vying to ride with Adam and Mike in their comfortable full size van, and watching a father spend his spare time to be with his son during his passage to becoming a young man.

We were so saddened to hear about Adam's passing. We will never forget the kindness and support Adam showed to Daniel during his time with the wrestling team. We were stunned and deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of your dear son. We remember Adam as a freshman Water Polo player;
a polite and friendly young man and how impressed we were to learn he was also accomplished in Wrestling at that young age. I remember our times on those Water Polo bleachers at so many games. Adam was indeed a special young man, a testament to the exceptional parents you are.
