Amy Brown Obituary

Amy Viola Brown Passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the age of 91. Amy was born on May 25, 1919 to Charles and Alice (Stid) Parker. Amy Married the love of her life Burton Brown on Valentines Day 1938 and stayed happily married for 72 years. She was an active member of the South Church of the Nazarene for 50 years. Amy decided to work for her high school diploma years later and received it at the age of 65. She retired from Sparrow Hospital in 1989. She is preceded in death by her daughter; Dixie Lee Brown, her parents, and 12 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Lou Schade; grandchildren, Brad and Craig Schade; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Aaron Schade; sister, Gertrude Irene Hills of Williamston; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 11, at 12:00 p.m. from the South Church of the Nazarene 401 S. Holmes, Lansing, MI. The Family received friends at Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. For those desiring memorial gifts may be made to Nazarene Mission International 48910.
