Anne Beauchamp Obituary

Anne Marie Beauchamp Anne Marie Beauchamp, age 68, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Anne was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 15, 1941, the daughter of Francis and Mary (McGrath) Maguire. Anne and Norman met as young adults through a church youth group. They joined in a covenant of marriage on May 20, 1961 at St. Eugene Catholic Church in Los Angeles, California. In 1971, they moved to St. Johns, Michigan and raised four children. Anne loved God, her family, and her community and was devoted to helping those around her. Anne was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church were she was a Eucharistic Minister for the terminally ill. She also served her community in many facets including, the St. Johns Lioness Club, and the Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts of America. Anne spent most of her career as a Mental Health Therapist for Community Mental Health dedicated to those with severe and persistent mental illness She is survived by her husband Norman, and her children: Dr. William Beauchamp of Clarksville, TN, Mary (Tim) Beauchamp of St. Johns, MI, Dr. Norman (Kristina) Beauchamp, of Bellevue, WA, and Cheryl (Robert) Wieber of Lapeer, MI; grandchildren, Tricia (Aaron) Gravett, Christopher (Anna) Beauchamp, Jessica Beauchamp, Sydney Beauchamp, MacKenzie Beauchamp, Julie Lantagne, Craig Lantagne, Jeffrey Theodorski, Jake Beauchamp, Luke Beauchamp, Zachary Wieber, and Grace Wieber; great grandchildren, Eden Gravett, Wyatt Gravett, Collin Gravett, Gus Beauchamp, and Jayce Martinez; her brother, Francis (Helen) Maguire of Arizona; and her sister, Diane (Bill) Horton of Massachusetts. She is also survived by special long-time friends: Larry and Elaine Krueger, Mary Bowerson, Laurie Forstat, Rita MacDonald-Bigelow, Cori Smith and many Maguire and Beauchamp family members. She was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Mary Maguire; father and mother-in-law, William and Agnes Beauchamp; and her dog, Angel. The family would like to thank the many loving and talented hands at McLaren Regional Medical Center, Great Lakes Cancer Institute, McLaren Visiting Nurses, and Hospice, Cardiology Consultants of East Michigan, and the University of Washington, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Dad would like to extend special thanks to the work of Dr. Nagpal and Father Owen, as well as the tireless efforts of Cheryl, Jay, and Craig. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church St. Johns, MI on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 5 - 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 8:00 p.m., at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Johns Chapel St. Johns, MI. Memorials may be made to Norm and Anne Beauchamp Educational Scholarship Fund at the University of Washington.
