Barbara Davis Obituary

Barbara Kay Davis Clare Barbara Kay Davis 63 of Clare passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at her home. Barbara was born July 28, 1947 in Clare, Michigan, the daughter of Howard R. and Maxine B. (Stephenson) Hollingshead. Barbara had resided in Clare since 1999, coming from Lansing, Michigan. Ms. Davis enjoyed sewing, fishing, camping, baking, especially her Christmas cookies. Barbara enjoyed celebrating Halloween, especially when she could dress in her costume and pass out candy to the children. She was an avid Elvis fan. Surviving are her three sons: Michael Lee Davis of Lansing, Michigan, Patrick Scott Davis of Lansing and Steven James Davis and wife Rachel also of Lansing, Michigan, the father of Barbara's three sons, Mr. Edward G. Davis of Lansing, her mother, Mrs. Maxine B. Hollingshead of Harrison, two sisters: Sue McCleary and husband Tom of Harrison, Judy Visser of Ormond Beach, Florida, one brother, Howard Hollingshead and wife Linda of Reese, Michigan, five grandchildren: Joshua, Matthew, Danielle, Ashley and Olivia, plus many nieces and nephews. Ms. Davis was recently preceded in death by her father, Howard R. Hollingshead on October 19, 2010. A Celebration of Life memorial service for Ms. Davis will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Pastor Dennis Feuerstein officiating. A gathering will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions in memory of Ms. Davis may be considered to: Davis family, in care of: Steven J. Davis.
