Billie Horn Obituary

Billie "Bill" Horn Cookeville Funeral services for Mr. Billie "Bill" Horn, 71, of Cookeville will be held Tuesday August 11 at 7 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Anderson will officiate. Graveside services and interment will be held Wednesday August 12, 2009 at the Symsonia Cemetery in Symsonia, Kentucky. Mr. Horn died Saturday afternoon August 8, 2009 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Horn was born May 1, 1938 in Royalton, Kentucky to the late Will Thomas and Dora Patton Horn. He was a retire associate with General Motors with over 26 years of service, and a member of the Local UAW 1618 in Lansing, MI. He and his family lived in Michigan 60 years and have made Cookeville their home since 2001. He was an avid Bowler, Fisherman and Golfer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Melvia Louise Slayden; and four brothers, Clifford Horn, Luther Horn, Ermol Horn, and Calvin Horn. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Della Slayden Horn (whom he married May 12, 1956 in Stockbridge, MI); son, Randy Horn of New Berlin, WI; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sherry Ann and Dwight Gregg of Homosassa, FL, and Neita Roland of Cookeville; six grandchildren, Leslie Gregg, Lindsey (Richard) Hinkle, Nathan Roland, Justin Roland, Hanannah Horn, and Chelsea Horn; three great-grandchildren, DellaAnn Gregg, Elizabeth Hinkle, and Ethan Hinkle; and a brother, William Thomas (Ethel) Horn of Stockbridge, MI. Mr. Horn's family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
