Jane and Family,
Brian was a good friend who treated everyone with kindness and respect. I loved listening to him talk about his wife and family -- always with so much love and joy. He lived for you and your time together. You were ALWAYS #1!
I will miss him, too. See you upstairs, Brian.

I must echo Jen Frasco’s sentiments exactly. I worked with Brian (and Jen) at Wharton Center in the 90’s; Brian was such a well-liked colleague by all Wharton staff. As Jen wrote, backstage was an exciting place, and I too enjoyed visiting with Brian and the guys back there. I am so glad I knew this sweet, kind and gentle-humored man, and I am so saddened to learn of his passing. My deepest condolences to all in Brian’s family.

My sincere sympathies to all of those who loved Brian during these hard days. I'm one of those many people who knew Brian at MSU--- though we only crossed paths a few times over the years, and not at all recently, know how sincerely I share that he was always so kind, so easy to get along with, such a good soul to everyone he encountered. As others wrote, his sincerity in the way he lived was striking.

May God's Comforter wrap you up as you grieve, honor his life, and take courage from what you shared in loving him as a family.

Uncle Brian - So it seems like just yesterday we were all swinging in the yard, taking turns begging for you and Grampa to swing us around. Climbing the tree.......I treasure all those family memories. I never heard you yell, rarely saw you get mad. :) Now you've left us so early, but in a way and in a place that no one could have planned any better if they tried. I find some comfort in that. I also find comfort in that you're with Gramma and Grampa and Sean now. Give them all a big hug for me and I will see you all when I get there. Love, Annette

Big Bri was a staple in the upbringing of alot of us friends of Seans and Tims. He used to take us backstage to meet some pretty cool folks at the aud. and Wharton, anywhere from Cheap Trick to Sam Kinison, etc. He was always at our sporting events when there wasn't a big event on campus, and I'll never forget the freezer full of T.V. dinners that he always kept stocked. I dont know if we ever left anything in there for him, but he never gave us too much crap for it. Sorry for your loss Jane, but know that our memories of Big Bri will last forever! Love you guys!

I will certainly miss catching up with "Big Bri" every year when I come back to MI. Brian and Jane both played an important role in raising me, teaching me right from wrong, the value of apologies and forgiveness and simply how to be a good person. Brian was a model "gentleman" so most of his teachings were by example.

I have many fond memories with the Archer/Beebe family at Lake 'O the Hills, Okemos Rd, Haslett Rd, Pine Lake, Haslett games, MSU games and of course Pecks Lake. Brian is a big part of all of those memories and I am grateful to him and Jane (as well as Tim, Dave, Greg, Geoff and Sean) for being such a big part of my life.

I regret that I cannot attend the funeral to pay my respects in person, but I am certainly comforted knowing Jane and the rest of the family have such a large extended "family" to support them in this difficult time. I know I am only one of many that think of Big Bri and Jane as a second set of parents.

Dear Jane and Family,

I just learned of your tragic loss and wanted you all to know that I was thinking about you. Brian was a real gentleman.

I trust your own sense of personal loss will find comfort with the passage of time and the many memories you must have of a loved and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Please know that I join your many, many friends in extending my salute to a valiant gentleman who we shall never forget. Please let me know if there is anyway I can be of assistance to you.

As a former front office employee at Wharton Center, I read this announcement this morning and I was overcome with tears and sadness. I could her Brian's voice and his laugh and I just instantly missed him. I loved taking quick breaks and dropping in and seeing what the Stage Managers were doing - life always and I mean ALWAYS seemed more interesting backstage.

Brian always had a kind word, always wanted to know what was "new" in my life and took a genuine interest in me and my family. A few weeks ago I had the honor to stop in again and drop in to see the Stage Managers during the run of "Phantom" - I asked about Brian - I missed seeing him in that office.

I pray for his family - Jane, his children and grandchildren and I can only take comfort in knowing God will ease the pain and suffering of those here on this earth.

Brian touched many, many, many lives and no dobut changed a few along the way. Thank you for touching mine - you will always be remembered and missed.

It was too soon dad, you'll just have to watch over us from up there and I'll see you in just a little while.

Unfortunately, I will be working out of town this coming week and must miss the service. Please know that most of the best memories I have of the past 25 years in this strange business we've been born into, have been working with Brian. Brian helped me out countless times, as I was coming up in this bizarre career path, and if I'm any good at all at what I do, Brian deserves a lot of the credit. He was an excellent teacher, a great role model, and a good friend. His mellow personality and quick wit will be remembered, and sorely missed.

Via con Dios, Brian. 'Til we meet again (and we will)...
