Burwin Lagios Obituary

Burwin "Bur" Lagios Lansing Burwin "Bur" G. Lagios, age 84, of Lansing, Michigan will celebrate the beginning of his new eternal life on August 14, 2009 with a very special first dance with his beloved wife, Bea. Bur was born to Gust and Mary Lagios on December 4, 1924. Dad spent his entire life living on the same street. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed his crossword, and word search puzzle books, and relaxing on his porch with a good cigar. He also enjoyed the company of his 1943-44 classmates from Lansing Eastern High School, and his friends from Olivet Baptist Church. Dad leaves behind 2 daughters, Sue Lagios, and Mary Miller both of Lansing; 1 son, Randy (Kris) Lagios of Traverse City; 4 grandchildren, Nicole, Bryan, and Lindsay Lagios, and Miranda Miller; and a special sister, Ordell (Dan) Jozwich of Williamston. A funeral service will be held to celebrate his life on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing with Pastor Dave Sincox of Olivet Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to give a special thank you to the great staff at Sparrow Specialty Hospital, St. Lawrence, L Tach Unit for all of the love and care they provided to dad during his many stays.
