I worked for Mr. Haussman for a handful of years in the early 1990s, helping out with yard work and gardening. At the time it was merely a part-time job, but as the years have past I have come to realize more and more what a special person he was and what a tremendous impact he and his wife had on their community, and in particular my own career. My condolences on the loss to your family.

My dad worked for Mr. Haussman for many years back in the 1960's. To this day, my dad, who is now 80 years old, still talks about Mr. Haussman's generosity, and respectful ways. He will always be a big part of my family's life with all the stories my dad has shared with us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

As President of Michigan Audubon, I would like to express condolences, on behalf of the organization, to his family. As an aquintence of several years, I would also like to express my personal best to the family. He was a very fine gentleman and a stalwart conservationist. He was very proud of his accomplishments that allowed him to be such a strong supporter of conservation values. He was a good man.
