Charles Irons Obituary

Charles Irons East Lansing Charles Irons, age 90 of East Lansing, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Ingham Regional Medical Center. Charles was born on November 9, 1919 in Glasgow, Scotland, the son of Charles and Isabella (Robb) Irons. He graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit. He married Margaret White in Detroit on January 5, 1944 and she predeceased him in 1999. He served in the U.S. Air Corps during WWII, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus of St. Isidore Catholic Church and a volunteer at Ingham Regionsal Medical Center. He is survived by three children; Jane (Larry) Bouck of Bath, David (Nancy) Irons of Lansing and Patricia Goodman of Haslett; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday April 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Laingsburg with Rev. Fr. Duaine H. Pamment officiating. Family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, Laingsburg Chapel. The family would like to thank all the nurses at Ingham Regional Medical Center and the Tenderheart girls at the Marquette. Memorials can be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church.
