Chris H. Briegel Grand Ledge Our devoted husband and loving father was called home to our Lord on August 6, 2010. He exemplified such strength in his quiet battle with cancer. Chris was born November 30, 1959 in Marshall, MI, son to Christian H. Briegel and Maxine J. Riever. He was a manager for over 20 years at Hershey's Steak and Seafood in East Lansing; a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Lansing and the Knights of Columbus #7311. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Lori; children: Heather (Gift) Nwogu, Ashley (Anthony) Demorest, Brandon and Caleb Briegel; sister, Diane Lemaire, brother Robert Hedges, mother, Maxine (Jim) Tomlinson, and was predeceased by his father. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 9, 2010 - 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 3815 S. Cedar St., Lansing, MI 48910, with Fr. John Byers as celebrant. Committal services will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge on Saturday from 6-8 P.M. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the Briegel Children's College Education Fund or the Sparrow Hospice will be greatly appreciated.
