The service was a beautiful tribute. Driving home on Monday, Chris talked about how great it was to have Dave stop in while the boys were on a job. Memories are something that can never be taken away. I hope you find peace in all of the great memories. We love you all.

Our hearts go out to Susan and family. We would like to invite you to join us at the Relay For Life of Eaton Rapids on June 5 & 6. We found a lot of healing at this event, and a good way to focus our anger. CANCER SUCKS!

From the moment we got out of school in June until the day we went back, every summer day was spent playing softball at the Gerard's, knocking the golf balls around the fields of Kahres Dairy Farm, or playing basket ball at the Kiters for us Rosedale boys. Dave was always a great competitor and a great deal of fun to be with. I will always remember the times growing up with him very fondly.

It has been many years since I had the pleasure to work with Dave. He was my last supervisor, prior to my retirement. Dave was fun to work with, a fair man with a sense of humor. My sincerest sympathies go out to the family.

Dave was a pleasure to know and work for--a kinder, gentler soul would be hard to find. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve his passing. His earthly struggle over, I believe that he is now at peace in a place his faith has taken him, and where we can all hope to meet up with him again. In deepest sympathy,
Mike Eberlein, Lansing, former employee at MDOT.

It has truly been an honor to work with you and Dave in the past year. I always looked foward to when I would come to meet with you and Dave would say "oh no, here we go!" as soon as he saw my face. :-) Thank you for sharing your journey with me and welcoming me into your lives. I will remember you both for always.
