Donnelly Higel Obituary

Donnelly George Higel Evart Donnelly George Higel passed away June 6, 2010 at his home in Venice, Florida. He was 74. Donnelly was born November 17, 1935, in Lansing, Michigan, to Donnelly William and Gladys Higel. He served in the US Air Force. He married Cora Worden, April 6, 2000, in Venice Florida. He was employed with General Motors. He loved the beach in Venice, Florida. He enjoyed tubing down the Muskegon River with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Cora "Corky"Higel, children, Donnelly Higel of Lansing, Jennifer (Craig) Lindsay, of Rives Junction, stepdaughters, Penny (Rudy) Morche, of Sanford, Florida, Teresa (Tom) Brown, of Evart, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, sister Norma (Don) Gaunt of Venice, Florida, brother, Charles "Dale" (Bonnie) Higel of Venice, Florida, half brother, Jack Miner of Apopka, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter Joy Renee. Funeral services will be 1:00p.m. Saturday June 12, 2010 at the Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home, Marion. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Worden. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Marion. Visitation will be 6-8p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
