Dorothy E. Delp

Dorothy E. Delp Lansing Age 87, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother died August 26, 2009. Born May 3, 1922 in West Branch, MI the daughter of Edward & Sylvia Schmaltz. Dorothy graduated from Central High School in 1940. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 55 years. She enjoyed family get togethers and her family was the most important thing in her life. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Bacon; her parents; 2 sisters, Beatrice Hein, and Shirley Reck; brother, Donald Schmaltz; Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Robert Delp; daughter, Charlene (Thomas) Bacon-Bassett; 2 sons, Dana Delp and David Delp; 3 grandchildren, Theresa Bell, Debra Bell, and Scott Bassett; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Betty (Edward) McKenna, Geri Voigt, and numerous nieces and nephews; special cousin, Maxine Dropping. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 743 N. Martin Luther King BLVD, Lansing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m..
