Edgar Cochran Obituary

Edgar L. Cochran Delta Township Passed away August 15, 2009. He was born August 29, 1922 in Clare, Michigan to the late Clinton and Hazel (Lane) Cochran. Edgar retired from Diamond-Reo in Lansing after 28 years, worked for Roberts Sinto in Grand Ledge, and attended Mt. Hope Church. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois (Winchester); children, Richard Wallace of Lansing, The Reverend Roger (Clara) Wallace of Tennessee, Kevin (Kris) Cochran of Lansing, Delores (Don) Gross of Portland, Ann (Harold) Ollar of California, Darlene Lawhorn of Kentucky, Patsy (Fred) Kohagen of Portland, and Sandra (Marv) Klein of Grand Ledge; 24 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-granddaughters; sisters, Wilma Wolfe of Mason, Lucille (Leonard) LaCourse of Mason, and Nanette Cochran of Lansing. Edgar was preceded in death by infant son and daughter Edgar Lynn Jr. and Lois Lee; brother, Gweneth Cochran; and sister Joy Simms. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 19, 2009, 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at the Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge with The Reverend Roger Wallace, officiating. Interment will follow at the Delta Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association Capitol Area Region 5303 S. Cedar Street, Building One Lansing, Michigan 48911.
