We are so sorry for your loss. I have so many of Ed's portraits - he took my senior pictures in 1962 and as a wedding gift in 1964 took my wedding photographs. He also took the senior pictures for my 2 oldest children in 1983. I think the hardest one he did was of my very active 2 year old in 1985. Maybe that is why he retired shortly after that. My dad and Ed were cousins and I've known him all my life and I know that he will be missed.

I am very sorry to hear about Ed Hicks, my former employer. Ed and Arnetta Hicks are the founders of Edwards Photographic Studios, Inc.. The studio was started in down town Lansing in September 1961. The studio was moved to 2601 S. Cedar Street in June of 1967. Ed was admired in the photographic industry, as a "Master of Photography". In June 1968, I was hired by Ed as a photographer trainee. We worked well together with one goal , to produce fine portraits that we and our clients would be proud of. On July 1, 1985 Ed and Arnetta retired. Ed would stop by and was always amazed at digital photography, and the changes in portrait styles. I am the luckiest photographer ever, to have learned from one of the best photographers in the nation. It has always been my goal that Edwards Studio keeps it's reputation as Lansing finest portrait studio. To Arnetta, Michael, Peggy and family, I'm sorry for your loss.
From Ron Jones, Sr. President of Edwards Photographic Studios, Inc.
