Ernest Huss Obituary

Ernest Frederick Huss St. Johns Ernest Frederick Huss, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 Ernie was born in Ashley, Michigan on June 9, 1925, the son of Francis and Ruby (Bolyard) Huss. He attended Fulton schools, served in the U.S. Army during WW II, and retired from Federal Mogul after 35 years of service. Ernie lived most of his life in Clinton County. He enjoyed hauling gravel from his gravel pit, loved to fish and hunt, and spend time tinkering in his home workshop. He was a member of the St. Johns V.F.W., American Legion, and Masonic Lodge. Ernie married Ellen Halstead on April 5, 1952, and they were able to have over 59 years together. Surviving are his wife Ellen, daughter Debbie Shipley, son Jeff (Karen) Huss, and son Willie (Beth) Huss. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister Laura Powers, and many, many friends who will all miss him dearly. Per Ernie's wishes, there were no services.
