Ferd Weinman Obituary

Ferd R. Weinman Lansing Age 91, passed away August 11, 2010. Ferd was born on February 21, 1919 in Ishpeming, MI, the son of Fred and Blanche (Hebbard) Weinman. He served his country during WWII with the U.S. Army, serving in New Guinea. Ferd retired from the State of Michigan, Dept of Transportation. He and his wife, Catherine, retired to their summer home in Gladwin on "The River". Ferd was preceded in death by his loving wife, Catherine, in 2007. Surviving are his daughters, Cathy (Gary) Seyka and Linda Beuerle; 2 grandsons, Ron (Andrea) Seyka and Steve Seyka; great grandchildren, Zac, Chris and Tayler; sister-in-law, Joanne Miller. Honoring Ferd's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service has been held. The family would like to extend their heartfelt graditude to the staff and friends of Okemos Health and Rehab Center and Grandhaven Manor. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice, 2675 S. Cochran Rd, Charlotte, MI, 48813 in memory of Ferd. Cathy and family I am so sorry to hear of your dads passing. He was a wonderful man. I felt honored to share the same birthday with him, something we could laugh about. He is now with your mom again. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.. GO BLUE!!!!
