Fran Yee Obituary

Fran Yee Grand Haven Age 78, formerly of Lansing, MI, passed away Friday, May 7, 2010. She was born to Guy Sat and Hom Shee Moy in Detroit, MI on May 16, 1931. Fran married Ken Yee on June 21, 1959 at Detroit Central Methodist Church. She retired from the MSU payroll department. Fran was a past President of the First Mates Auxiliary of Lansing Power Squadron. She was a long-time, active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, where she served as the Flower Chair. Fran was a Scout Leader for Girl Scouts. She loved to bowl and sew. She was actively involved with the Destin, Florida Snowbird Club. Fran is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Ken; children, Debbie (Fred) Goetz of Seattle, WA, Robert Guy (Ann) Yee of Northbrook, IL and Tracey Yee of Corvallis, OR; grandchildren, Kenneth and Dara Yee; sisters, Cora Yee of Sacramento, CA and Dorothy Matsumoto of Royal Oak, MI; brother, Edward (Offie) Moy of Los Angeles, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Moy and brother, Howard Moy. A celebration to honor Fran's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home, 1500 Robbins Road in Grand Haven. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing. Family will greet friends and relatives one hour prior to the celebration.
