Stella, it´s hard to believe it´s been 14 years ago. Doesn´t seem like it´s been that long. I was talking about him a few days ago. He was a special person.

Stella, Kate, and Patrick,
I wish I could have found the strength to stand at Jerry's service and tell everyone about my friend. But I could not. I wanted to tell everyone how much his friendship meant to me over the past 29 years, but the words and my knees failed me. I also wanted to read this poem:
Friends
As we walk our path in life,
We meet people everyday.
Most are simply met by chance.
But, some are sent our way.
These become special friends.
Whose bond we can't explain;
The ones who understand us
And share our joy and pain.
Their love contains no boundaries.
So, even when we part,
Their presence enhances us
With a warmth felt in the heart.
This love becomes a passageway,
When even the miles disappear.
And so, these friends, God sends our way, remain forever near.
Stella, YOU were the love of HIS life. Kate and Patrick, he would always burst with pride at the mention of your names.
I will forever miss him.
Love,
Jim

Stella,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know that there is nothing that anyone can do that will make you feel better but I hope that you will try and find comfort in the wonderful memories and know that you have several friends that will help you through this. You are in my thoughts and prayers every day!
Love,
Lisa

Dear Stella and Family,
Many years ago, I worked with Jerry at All State Management. He always made us laugh. I still keep in touch with Tricia Hurst, and when we talk about the "old" days, Jerry's name often comes up. We will all have many fond memories of him and his gift for making us smile. God bless you all.
Sincerely,

Stella, Kate and Patrick,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. He was a kind, caring and accepting man - a genuinely great person. The type of person who was an instant friend. He talked about each of you often. There was never any doubt how much he loved and adored you.
May God give you peace, comfort and understanding that only he can give.
With my deepest sympathy and prayers,
David Palmer

I got to speak to Jerry often on the phone at work and when he came in to bring in the bills. He was very funny when he was late with them-sort of trying to avoid those who were waiting for them. I was happy to meet another White Sox fan in the area-we hadn't known each other long but he still wanted to lend me his jersey to wear to the Tigers-Sox game in Detroit. I feel confident you, his family, have many happy memories of life with him that will keep him close to you every day. My condolences to all who knew and loved him.

Stella and family,
Jerry touched a lot of people;I'm sure more than you even know. I don't know the details, but I've been told that there was a least one kid at Dutchtown school that thought Jerry was pretty special and I know he gave me a wonderful memory regarding my husband that I will never forget. Jerry went out of his way to be kind and that is all too rare today. He will sincerely be missed! You are all in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Carlotta

May you be comforted by all the love and prayers that are coming your way. Jerry will be missed by all whose lives he touched. I'm sorry we didn't get to see him more often, but there are still lots of memories to hold on to. I still remember him as one of the "little kids" meaning youngest in the family. Now he is with the oldest kid in the family. Love you.
