Geraldine Osmar Obituary

Geraldine Osmar Dollar Settlement Geraldine Osmar, of Dollar Settlement, MI, a spiritual woman of deep faith, has gone to meet her maker on Tuesday April 20, 2010, at War Memorial Hospital. She was born November 21, 1927 in Schenectady, New York. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW; the Bay Mills Homemakers Club; and Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church. She spent many happy hours walking the beach on Lake Superior. Surviving are her loving husband of 60 years, Loring J. Osmar; children, Leanne (Gregory) Vadnais, Carol (Keith) Allen, Steve (Mary) Osmar, Ken (Susan) Osmar, Janet (Larry) Goodell, Joleen (Bill) Pennington, Laurie (Anthony) Gardner, and Scott (Kim) Osmar; sister, Joanne Sare; several nieces and nephews; 28 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Violet Neville; grandson, Robert Allen; great-grandson, Justin White; and sister, Gloria Dougherty. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday April 22, 2010 at Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Friday April 23, 2010 at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, with Father Ted Brodeur as Celebrant. Final Resting Place: Mission Hill Cemetery
