Gloria Lee Dalebout Grand Ledge Gloria Lee Dalebout of Grand Ledge passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the age of 83. Gloria was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, to Wilbur and Mae (Anderson) Courter. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Eugene; daughter Susan Dalebout (Harry Levins); son Donald (Tammy); brother Wilbur Courter (Charlotte); and granddaughters Katie Rose Dalebout, Emily Schild, and Katie Schild. Gloria was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved her family, her many friends, and her church. Gloria was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church for 55 years. She served as secretary of the Trustees, Sunday School teacher, Youth Counselor, Chair of the Dining Room Committee, and member of the Endowment Committee. Gloria was deeply invested in Grand Ledge. She was an original member of Grand Ledge's Downtown Development Authority and supported many projects, such as the downtown street lights and restoration of the Opera House. She was a founding member of Ledge Craft Lane and a long-time member and Past President of the Garden Club. She served on the City's Parks and Recreation Commission. She was a Girl Scout leader, step-on Tour Guide, and delivered Meals on Wheels for over 30 years. Visitation will be on Friday, April 26 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 - 11:00 a.m. at the Grand Ledge First United Methodist Church, 411 Harrison St. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Grand Ledge First United Methodist Church, 411 Harrison St., Grand Ledge, MI 48837.
