Gordon G. Goelz

Gordon G. Goelz Lansing A resident of Lansing for over 30 years, born April 19, 1934, in Big Rapids; died September 29, 2009, at the age of 75. Gordon was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had retired from GM on December 31, 1982. He loved motorcycles, dancing and his morning outings with his coffee. Gordon truly enjoyed life after retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Goelz, and sister, Janette Goelz-Comstock. Surviving are Gail, his wife of 25 years; daughters, Robin (Philip) Mulder, Cathy (Scott) Dexter, Nena (Rick) Skaggs; sons, Gregory Goelz and Mark (Holly) Goelz; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold (Janet) Goelz; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, at 10 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, with the Rev. Arthur R. Salisbury officiating. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing, with Military Honors.
