Gracie DeLang Obituary

Gracie Belle DeLang Lansing Born May 3, 1930 to John and Ruby Reid, Gracie Belle DeLang died August 16, 2009 at the age of 79. She was a lifelong resident of Lansing. Gracie was preceded in death by her parents; former husbands, Merle Anspach and Robert DeLang; companion Lambert Reitsma; and brother, Fred Reid. She is survived by daughter, Linda Van Damme of Lansing; sons, Gary (Paulette) Anspach of Lansing, Steve Anspach of Williamston, and Mark DeLang of Lansing; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Floyd (Mary) Reid of Sears; sister, Mae Reid of Lansing; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 20, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing. A graveside service will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Holt. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 West Grand River Avenue, Lansing, MI 48906 in memory of Gracie.

I am very saddened by the news of Grace's passing, it has been a couple years since I last saw her, shortly after the passing of my mother, and she was just as sweet as I always remember her.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
